Gresham Animal Hospital Check-ups and Vaccinations_01

If your pet has been acting a little off lately, or you’ve noticed a change in his or her appetite, or perhaps your pet hasn’t been to a vet in a few years, you might consider bringing your pet to Gresham Animal Hospital for a check-up on his or her health. Learn about some of the tests we can run to monitor you pet’s health:

In-House Blood/Urine/FecalTesting

We have two separate analyzers on-site to perform important blood tests on your pet such as a blood count analysis, and liver and kidney function tests. By having this equipment on-site, we are able to quickly and accurately diagnose your pet’s condition when they become ill without losing valuable time waiting for test results.

With our partnership with IDEXX Laboratories, we are able to offer high quality, fast turnaround diagnostic tests with direct access to advice from clinical pathologists and other specialists.

X-rays are an important diagnostic tool for many common conditions we see in practice such as fractures, vomiting, and breathing difficulties. Our hospital x-ray machine is able to take internal pictures of anything our doctors need. Once again, because this equipment is on-site, we are able to take and interpret x-rays in a very short amount of time! We are able to share these images electronically to any specialist your pet may need.

Blood Pressure

We use only Doppler equipment to help assess your pet’s blood pressure. These monitors are helpful in determining whether your pet is suffering from high blood pressure (hypertension) as well as provide a general wellness screening. Our blood pressure equipment can also used in anesthetic monitoring and diagnostically in evaluating a patient in shock.
