Boarding

No matter where you’re going, or where you’re coming from, rest assured that our priority is keeping your furry friend happy, healthy and safe.

Boarding Info

Who can board?

We offering boarding services to current clients whose pets are up to date on their vaccines. For K9 boarders that includes rabies, DHPP and Bordetella; for feline boarders that includes rabies and FVRCP.

We offer boarding for both cats and dogs. Unfortunately, we are not offering boarding services for pocket pets at this time.

What should I bring for my pet while he is boarding?

The only thing you need to bring for your fur baby during their stay here is their food. We also offer in-house food, but it is always easier on your pup’s tummy to bring their normal diet.

If you have a blanket or bed that is special to your pet, please label it with your pet’s name. We do community laundry here at Gresham Animal Hospital, so labeling beds/blankets with a sharpie is the best way to ensure that your beds go back to you. We have many blankets here to offer in various sizes and textures, so there is no need to worry about them being cold or uncomfortable in their kennels.

What about toys?

Toys are a wonderful thing to bring for your pup if you are worried about them during their stay. Toys will stay in the kennel with your pet (except for when the dogs are outside playing with their toys) and are a wonderful way to keep them entertained during their stay.

We also have toys here! Therefore, there is no need to stress about what toys you would like to bring with you.

Should I bring my pet’s food bowls?

Please leave the bowls at home. Unless your pup uses a slow feeder or other fancy feeding dish it is not necessary to bring your pet’s food bowls from home.

Food bowls are changed and cleaned daily.

What is my pet’s day going to look like?

At Gresham Animal Hospital, it is our policy to let the pets out of their kennels AT LEAST 3 times a day.

Your pet will start his day with a potty break and breakfast. After breakfast, our patients get a 10-15 minute walk/play session outside while the kennel tech cleans and sanitizes their kennel. Then we let them rest and digest their breakfast before we let them out again for their midday outside time. This is the time when we take many pictures to send you and get to know your fur baby. We are also able to feed lunch during this time if your pet has a midday snack. To end their day we feed them dinner and then let them outside again for yet another walk/play session to tire them out for the night.

How can I contact you about my pet during their stay?

At Gresham Animal Hospital, we offer a texting phone number ((503) 660-4348) where you can send us a message at any time day or night, and we can get back to it as soon as we can. This is also, where we will be contacting you! This is where we send all of our pictures and updates for our boarding clients, and the perfect way for you to ask any questions you may have or voice any concerns.

What is a Boarding appointment?

Boarding appointments make the drop-off and pick-up times easier to navigate for everyone. When you make a boarding reservation you will also schedule a dropping-off appointment time, this means we can have a room and kennel ready to go by the time you arrive. Drop-off appointments typically take longer than pick-up appointments as this is the time we will discuss what your pet needs during their stay. Pick-up appointments are scheduled at the time of your dropping-off appointment. Pick-up appointments include payment, and re-uniting with your fur-baby. Ready to book your pet's stay?
